Annual School Election 2025: Cabot Schools Millage Rate to Stay Same

April 24, 2025

Early Voting Begins May 6 for Annual School Election

Early voting for the 2025 Annual School Election will begin Tuesday, May 6. Election Day is set for Tuesday, May 13.

No Change to Millage Rate Proposed

Please note, the Cabot School District is not proposing any change to the current millage rate. The district’s 39.5 mill property-tax rate will remain the same.

In accordance with Article 14, Section 3 of the Arkansas Constitution, millage rates are required to be placed on the ballot at least once each year in every Arkansas school district, even if there is no proposed change. If a district, like Cabot, is not requesting a new rate, the vote is simply on the continuation of the existing millage. If the vote were to be against the current rate, state statute dictates that the millage reverts to the most previous rate, thus there is no change.

School Board Election: At-Large, Position 2

The election includes the race for At-Large, Position 2 on the Cabot School Board. Longtime board member Corey Williams is not seeking re-election after serving 16 years in this role. His term officially expires this year.

There are three individuals on the ballot for this position in the following order:

Sally Beebe
Bradley Tarvin
Noah Welch
