Monday, January 13 - Delayed Start - Instruction Begins 9:50 AM

Dear Panther Families:

Thank you for your patience last week as we worked to prepare for the snowfall. We hope you had a chance to enjoy the weekend. Today, we’ve had a productive day of melting, which has resulted in much improvement to our roadways.

However, our concern now is the amount of snow that remains along the edges of our roads and bus stops. As melting continues until temperatures drop below freezing, with tonight's forecasted low in the upper 20s, we want to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

To allow for the benefit of sunshine and warming temperatures, we have decided to adjust our schedule for Monday, January 13th. The Cabot School District will begin instruction at 9:50 a.m.

All buildings will open for student drop-offs beginning at 8:30 a.m. Buses will arrive at their stops approximately 2 hours later than usual. For example, if your normal pickup time is 6:40 a.m., your pickup time on Monday will be 8:40 a.m.

If you do not feel that your student can safely arrive at school, either by vehicle or bus, due to road conditions, please contact your school administrator after school opens tomorrow. We want to work with you to ensure that every student is safe while making their way to school.
