College and Career Fair at Cabot High School
October 1, 2015

Cabot High School hosted its annual College and Career Fair Thursday morning. Close to 1,500 juniors and seniors had the opportunity to visit with 55 colleges, technical and vocational representatives. Military recruiters participated in the event as well.
The fair allows students to have access to people they may not have had the opportunity to meet. They also had the opportunity to use the automated college registration system.
Students go online and enter all their information. They're then given a bar code. Instead of filling out contact cards at the career fair, representatives can scan the bar code and mail information to students about their school.
The Cabot Scholarship Foundation also met with students. The foundation awards local scholarships only to Cabot High School seniors. Last year, they awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships and for 2016; they plan to award more than $105,000.
