Fall 2024 College Signing Day: 14 Athletes

This Cabot Athletic Department recently held their fall college signing ceremony for fourteen student-athletes!
Family and friends gathered in Panther Arena to watch each student as they said a few words of gratitude for their coaches, family, and friends before announcing where they would be continuing their academic and athletic career.

Congratulations to these athletes:
Gabe Haslauer (Golf) UT-Dallas, Alyssa Duncan (Softball) John A Logan College, Payton Nicholson (Softball) John A Logan College, Addison Cooper (Softball) Hill College, Aimsley Justice (Softball) ASU-Newport, Addison Fulbright (Softball) Three Rivers College-Sikeston, M.A. Scott (Volleyball) Ouachita Baptist University, Abby LeMay (Volleyball) University of Mary, Cael Turner (Baseball) Oklahoma State, Will Leslie (Baseball) Arkansas State University, Jake Belton (Baseball) Southark JC, Makenzie Wood (Cross Country/Track) Ouachita Baptist University, Ensley Grant (Cross Country/Track) Ouachita Baptist University, and Kailynn Broadway (Cross Country/Track) Crowley’s Ridge College.

Gabe Haslauer will continue his golf career at the University of Texas in Dallas. Gabe can’t wait to experience college life and is ready to work harder and be challenged with the level of competitiveness he will face. Go Comets!
Alyssa Duncan will attend John A. Logan College to play softball with plans to major in Physical Therapy. While at Cabot, Alyssa was named "Defensive Player or the Year" three times and All-Conference twice. Alyssa is excited to improve her softball skills at the next level and becoming a better player.


Payton Nicholson will join Alyssa and play softball at John A. Logan College. Payton was named All-State, All-State Tournament Second Team, and "Offensive Player of the Year" in 2024 and "Defensive Player of the Year" in 2023. Payton says she felt at home at JALC and is excited for this opportunity and to meet new people.
Hill College in Texas is where Addison Cooper will attend to continue her softball career. Addison is ready for this new step and challenge in her life. While at Hill College, Addison will major in Dental Hygiene.


Aimsley Justice will attend ASU-Newport next fall to continue her softball career.
Our last softball signee was Addison Fulbright. Addison will attend Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Addison was All-Conference her junior year and is looking forward to finishing her high school career strong. Addison has completed a firefighter training class and plans to attend the Fire Academy in Camden, AR after college.


Margaret (M.A.) Scott is looking forward to furthering her volleyball career at Ouachita Baptist University. She plans on pursuing a nursing degree and is ready to experience college life both athletic and academically.
Abby LeMay was another volleyball signee and she will be attending the University of Mary at Bismarck North Dakota. Abby said she fell in love with the campus and instantly connected with the coaches and volleyball team so she can’t wait to begin this new chapter of her life. She also plans to major in Exercise Science with hopes of becoming a Physical Therapist.


Cael Turner will continue his baseball career at Oklahoma State! Cael said OSO was the right fit for him as an athlete and scholar. He is excited for the next chapter in his life and the trials and tribulations that follow. Cael plans to get a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Wildlife Biology.
Will Leslie will attend Arkansas State University next fall for baseball. Will is looking forward to play at the collegiate level and hopes his career doesn’t stop there.


Jake Belton was the final baseball signee and will attend Southark College in El Dorado. Jake was All-Conference his junior year and hopes to finish his high school career strong as well. While at South Arkansas, Jake plans to major in Physical Therapy.
Makenzie Wood will continue her cross country career at Ouachita Baptist University. At Cabot Makenzie has been All-Conference for three years and a member of the Lady Panthers conference wins in both cross country and track. Makenzie felt welcome by Coach Guymon and is looking forward to being a part of a new time and making lasting friendships and memories with her new team.


Ensley Grant will join Makenzie at Ouachita Baptist University. Ansley was a member of the back-to-back cross country conference champion team and back-to-back conference track and field champions. Ensley will major in psychology and hopes to help others with counseling in the future.
The final signee of the day went to Kailynn Broadway. Kailynn will run cross country/track at Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould. Along with her athletic career she plans to study school psychology with hopes of becoming a Forensic Neuropsychologist one day.
