Back-to-Back Conference Championships: CHS Cross Country Teams

Congratulations to our Panthers and Lady Panthers Cross Country Teams as they both won the 2023 6A Central Conference Meet in Jonesboro on October 24th! Our Lady Panthers are back-to-back Champions and this is the fourth consecutive win in a row for our Panthers!

The Lady Panthers started off the day winning the title and beating second place Mount Saint Mary by 12 points. Congratulations to sophomore Cady Masters for being named Conference Runner-Up with a time of 19.38.90.  Cady Masters and Abigail Huff were also named All-Conference team members. We also had six athletes in the top 15 as well.

The Panthers followed with another great performance, beating second place Jonesboro by 19 points! Senior Brandon Waller won the Overall Individual Championship with a time of 16.45.40 and Myson McFall was Runner-Up with a time of 16.52.20. All-Conference team members are Brandon Waller, Myson McFall, and Hez Morris. We also had six athletes place in the top 14.

Congratulations to all the 41 athletes who competed at the meet. This is the first time since 2005 that Cabot has won the boys and girls “Double Conference Champs!

Also, congratulations to our cross country coaches, head coach Chris Beavert, Michael Bryant, and Reed Fisher and strength and conditioning coaches Brandon Jay and Kord Simpson for all the training and support they have given to these athletes.

The 6A State Meet will be held Thursday, November 2nd beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. Good luck at State!
