Military Dad Returns Home & Surprises Westside First Grader

September 15, 2015

A Westside first grader hasn't seen her father in 6 months but that all changed Tuesday.

Phillip Nichols has been deployed to Afghanistan for the past six months with the United States Air Force. When he left in March, his daughter Kaydence was in Kindergarten. She's now in 1st grade and Tuesday after school she got a huge surprise, her dad returned home!

Mom Amanda Nichols and little sister Kinsley were there as dad surprised Kaydence in the school office. It was a sweet reunion and we're glad this military hero is home safe and sound!

Check out the sweet reunion!

How sweet is this! One of our Westside 1st graders received quite the surprise today, her military daddy surprised her at school! He's been deployed for the past 6 months and is now home!
