Inquiry Regarding Former Staff Member

The Cabot School District has received inquiries regarding the employment of Jacob De La Paz. Mr. De La Paz was an employee of the Cabot School District from 2014 through May 2017. District staff was notified that Mr. De La Paz sent inappropriate text messages to a student in May 2017. District administration immediately made a report to the Arkansas State Police Child Maltreatment Division. District administration also filed an ethics complaint with the Arkansas Department of Education - Professional Licensure Standards Board. The District fully cooperated with law enforcement and the Arkansas Department of Education throughout their investigations.
