Cabot Scholarship Foundation Awards Seniors $144,900 In Scholarships

The Cabot Scholarship Foundation has done it again. The foundation has awarded a record 133 local scholarships totatling $144,900! Scholarships are provided by community members, businesses, and even Cabot School District employees.


In fact, district employees funded 17 scholarships worth a total of $17,000! The Cabot Panther Foundation awarded 11 scholarships worth a total of $11,000! Scholarships are for seniors planning to attend two and four year colleges, technical schools, and vocational schools.


Students were awarded the scholarships in a ceremony held at the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium. The honorary guest for the night was Cabot Panther Academy Assistant Principal Mallorey Jones. 


Mallorey Jones is the Assistant Principal at Cabot Panther Academy, formerly known as the Academic Center of Excellence, in her hometown of Cabot, Arkansas. Before moving to this position in 2021, she taught 7th grade English at Cabot Junior High South. Mallorey currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Education at Williams Baptist University where she teaches the Education Technology Course to pre-service teachers. She is a 2020 graduate school graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, 2017 college graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, and 2013 high school graduate of Cabot High School.

Mallorey and her husband, Will, are the proud parents of their 9 month old son, Drew. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Cabot and Junior Auxiliary of Cabot where she continues to give back to the community and school district that gave her so much.


The Cabot Scholarship Foundation was established in 1990 to raise funds for college scholarships for Cabot students. Since 1990, the foundation has awarded 1,681 scholarships for a total dollar amount of $1,775,400!
