Effective Immediately: All District Parking Areas Closed After School

April 3, 2023

The Cabot School District continues to be concerned with the safety and security of our district parking areas. Over the weekend, there was an incident with an adult brandishing a firearm.

The Cabot School District and the Cabot Police Department have made a joint decision regarding this issue with the parking areas.

Effective immediately, all district parking lots will be closed after school unless there is a school-sponsored or school-hosted event occurring.

Be mindful of all Cabot city curfews, rules, and regulations as well as the no loitering policy for all other areas in the school district after school hours.

Per the city of Cabot (Code 1992, § 130.33; Ord. No. 2-1994, 2-14-1994; Ord. No. 25-1997, 6-9-1997) It shall be unlawful for any minor to be upon the streets, sidewalks, parks, playgrounds, public places and vacant lots, or to ride in or upon, drive or otherwise operate or be a passenger of any automobile, bicycle, or other vehicle in, upon, over or through the streets, or other public places between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, or 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The district appreciates your understanding.
