Summer Construction & Renovation Projects 2022

Although students may be out for summer break, the Cabot School District is not slowing down.

Along with current kitchen renovations taking place at several schools, the district is in the process of undertaking several construction projects throughout the summer months and into the upcoming school year.

These projects will not only be extremely beneficial to our students, student athletes, but also our parents, patrons, and community members.

Cabot Junior High North

-A new entrance to Junior High North is being constructed off North Lincoln Street.
-Currently, our 7th grade football teams play games on Saturday mornings. Our opponents prefer to play during the week, but we do not have space available to host games. We are adding bleachers and a small scoreboard to the field to allow our teams to have home games this fall.

New Band Practice Area

-Currently, our marching band practices in the lower parking lot next to Panther Stadium. We will develop the area between Champs Hall and the fieldhouse into a band practice area. This is adjacent to the band room and will provide immediate access for our band program rather than having to move all equipment across campus to the current practice area.

New Track Practice Area

-The area currently used for discus and shot-put will be moved to district owned property on Bellamy Street behind Panther Stadium.

Cabot Middle School South

-We are in the final stages of adding playground space for both 5th and 6th grade.
-Restrooms are being added for our students with disabilities.

Cabot Middle School North

-Restrooms are being added for our students with disabilities.

Cabot High School

-Significant upgrades to the chiller/cooler HVAC system.

Kitchen HVAC Upgrades

-New HVAC systems in the kitchen areas at Southside, CMSS, CJHS, Eastside, Westside, Ward Central, CMSN, Magness Creek and Northside are either complete or in progress throughout the summer.

New Energy Management Systems

-Energy management control systems are being installed at Southside, CMSS, Eastside, Magness Creek, Ward Central, Westside, CMSN, CJHS, Agri Center at CHS, and Champs Hall at CHS.

Flooring Upgrades & Painting

-Floor upgrades and painting projects are ongoing across the district.
