Cabot Theatre Revolts Again With 18 Orpheum Awards!

The company of Matilda the musical is proud to be representing Cabot School District at the High School Musical Theatre Awards at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee.

The HSMTAs are a regional competition that involves schools from Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi and gives students not only the opportunity to perform ON the Orpheum Stage but also the possibility of going to compete in the Jimmy Awards in NYC.

Not only was the company nominated for several awards, but we also had a number of individual students nominated for their own awards!

Outstanding Featured Dancer - Abi Roper
Outstanding Stage Manager - Olivia Schinker
Outstanding Student Creative Achievement- Hannah Haskins
Outstanding Student Technical Achievement - Andrew McFarland
Outstanding Student Technical Achievement - Austin Anderson

And finally, Director Melani Morgan Blansett was nominated individually for Outstanding Direction By A Teacher!
