Remembering Former School Board Member Mark Russell

The Cabot School District is remembering the life of former Cabot School Board Member Mark Russell. Mr. Russell passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Mr. Russell graduated from Cabot High School in 1991. He served on the Cabot School Board from 2009-2017.

Many people know Mr. Russell as the “Voice of the Cabot Panthers.” For 10 years, football fans could hear him belt out “Touchdown Panthers” on Friday nights from the press box. He loved supporting our Panthers, especially when his own son Jared took to the field. Jared graduated from Cabot High School in 2019.

Mr. Russell’s funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
