Three Panther Wrestlers Named 2022 6A State Champions

Cabot competed in the 6A Wrestling State Tournament at Jack Stephens Center February 17-19 where three athletes won the State Championship in their individual weight class! Congratulations to Alena Williams, Starr Smith, and Cole Eason!
Alena Williams, a Cabot freshman, won in the 108lb-weight class and is Cabot’s first female wrestling State Champion! Alena went 4-0 and scored 32.0 team points for Cabot. Not only did Alena win the State title, she was also named the “Victory with Honor” and “Outstanding Wrestler” award winner.


Starr Smith, a Cabot senior, won in the 185lb-weight class. Starr went 4-0 and scored 32.0 team points for Cabot.


Cole Eason, a Cabot senior, won in the 170lb-weight class and was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler! Cole went 4-0 and scored 29.0 team points for Cabot.


Cabot finished in 3rd place overall, out of 15 teams, at the 2022 6A State Wrestling State Tournament.

3rd Place – Cabot: 167.5
4th Place – Springdale Har-Ber: 158.5
5th Place – Bentonville West: 152.5
Panther Wrestling was also the 2022 Conference Dual Champions this year.
