624 Cabot Seniors received their high school diploma May 11, 2012. The commencement ceremony opened with a processional of administration and faculty then was followed by the class of 2012.
Superintendent Dr. Thurman and High School Principal Mr. Hawkins welcomed everyone and started the nights program.
Salutorian Kristen Anderson (click here for a copy of her speech) told the crowd "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are three ideas contained in the Declaration of Independence that so aptly define our future, class of 2012. "Life being that each one of us has only lived and experienced such a small fraction of the world and what it has to offer. Our lives are truly just beginning."

Valedictorian Kaylan Holloway (click here for a copy of her speech) remarked "John Mason once said, 'You were born an original, don't die a copy.' There are various lessons in these few words, but I want you to understand just one. You are an individual. So, in your future live, live how you want to live. Don't be a victim of conformity. Rather, Dream big, act bigger. Once you have established your unique path in life, pursue your dreams with a passion."
Principal Hawkins and staff called students names on the stage while School Board President Dean Martin presented them with their diplomas. After the changing of the tassel Principal Hawkins presented the Class of 2012.
