CHS Athletic Training Department featured in AETN Documentary

July 2, 2015

The Cabot High School Athletic Training Department is set to appear in an Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) documentary. The one hour special will focus on how high schools work to prevent and treat concussions.

The Cabot High School Athletic Training Department is the only school in the state to have four athletic trainers employed by the district. Athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and sports-related illnesses.

In fact, the Cabot School District is the model district and mentors other schools when it comes to offering a Sports Medicine Curriculum.

Head Athletic Trainer Jason Cates has been working closely with AETN. Filming has taken place with several of our athletes in football, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer.

The documentary is expected to air in September.
