Automated Message - Back to School Reminders for Tuesday, August 12th
August 10, 2025
This is an automated message from the Cabot School District.
Here are a few important reminders as students head back to the classroom Tuesday, August 12th.
With the first day quickly approaching, please keep in mind traffic will be congested everywhere. Allow yourself extra time. The first week is always the toughest as parents navigate car rider lines and students learn loading and unloading procedures.
While we want car rider lines to move quickly, we will not sacrifice safety and security for speed, so please be extremely patient when dropping off or picking up your student. We promise every administrator will remain at their building until all children have been picked up or have arrived home safely.
If your child is a bus rider, it is important to arrive at the bus stop 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time Tuesday. Due to traffic the first week, buses may be delayed.
Please know our transportation department will be working diligently to transport more than 5,000 students utilizing over 100 buses. If your child’s bus is crowded, we will work quickly to balance loads and adjust routes. We will have our Transportation Call Center open Tuesday afternoon if you have any questions and concerns. Don’t worry, it gets better every day and so does the traffic. We promise!
For our 7th–12th grade students - please be sure to have a printed or handwritten copy of your schedule with you on the first day.
Also, please remember that important district information will always be posted on our district website. We encourage you to check it first and check it often along with our district social media pages.
While the beginning of school is a special time, we know it can be hectic and stressful. We certainly appreciate your patience and grace. Thank you for trusting us to take care of your children. We hope you have a fabulous year! Go Panthers!

**Please Note: We are updating the phone number we use for text messages. Automated texts will now come from 501-842-6244. Save it as “CPS Alerts” so you’ll always recognize messages from us, as our vendor is moving from short codes to local numbers for better delivery and trust. This change applies only to mass text messages. Recorded voice messages will continue to come from our main district number.
