Project Panthers: All-Inclusive Playgrounds
All-Inclusive Playgrounds:
Another exciting project is to add to our existing eleven K-6 playgrounds. This will include safe and ADA accessible equipment for all students and for our community members after school hours. These play structures will be designed specifically for the needs of our students. This project began in November of 2023 and was completed in July 2024.
July 2024 Update:
All K-6 schools in the Cabot School District now have all-inclusive playgrounds. That's 11 total! We are so Panther Proud of this project!
November 2023 Update:
Project Panthers is MOVING Forward! Equipment for our new all-inclusive playgrounds is beginning to arrive at our K-6 schools and a couple of playgrounds have already been installed and completed. Our students are so excited!
Crews are working fast. As soon as one playground is finished, they will move to the next location for installation.
June 2023 Update:
K-6 principals met Tuesday, June 6, 2023 with our Maintenance Department to work on selecting playground equipment for our K-4 and 5-6 grade campuses. Once plans are finalized and depending on availability of equipment and installers, work is expected to begin during the 2023 school year.
