CFA Hosts 1st Annual 'Academy Awards'

Hundreds of students were recognized for their academic achievement Tuesday night. Our students work hard throughout the school year and this awards ceremony acknowledges their academic dedication and commitment.
Acknowledgement of Silver Awards - 227 students received this award for earning a 3.0-3.49 GPA.
Silver Awards - 130 students received this award for earning a GPA of 3.5-4.0 during the first semester of 9th grade.
Gold Awards - 54 students earned a GPA of 3.5-4.0 during the first semester of 9th grade in addition to scoring in the 85th percentile or above in reading or math on their 8th grade standardized test.
Diamond Awards - 66 students earned a GPA of 4.0 during the first semester of 9th grade.
Perfect Attendance - One student received this award for not missing a single day of school all year.
Subject Awards - 72 students received this award. Each teacher at CFA chose one student who exemplified excellence not only in their academic performance but also in their leadership, behavior and achievement within the classroom.
Special Achievement Awards - Six students were nominated by our faculty for more than their academic success. These students displayed character, integrity, perseverance and excellence, both inside and outside the classroom.
Special Achievement Awards - Two students were presented this award by Resource Officer John Dodd for their behavior and achievements in and out of the classroom.
Principal's Awards - Four students received this award from Principal Tanya Spillane and Assistant Principals Ahna Davis and Kevin Floyd. These prestegious award winners are students who persisted through rough situations and/or showed leadership qualities throughout this year helping CFA to guide all our students toward graduation and their future lives outside of school.
The Cabot Freshman Academy, along with the Cabot School District, is extremely proud of these students and hope they continue to excel in academics throughout their school year.
