Superhero Training at Magness Creek Elementary
May 27, 2015

Calling all superheroes! Students and their families were recently invited to superhero training at Magness Creek Elementary.
The school kicked off summer reading with a superhero theme: “Reading is My Superpower.” The goal was to teach everyone about the importance of reading over the summer. Mrs. Font and Mrs. Frey shared ways parents can help their students.
The Reading Road Trip Bus, the bookmobile sponsored by Cabot Public Schools, also made a stop at Magness Creek to help celebrate reading. Students borrowed books and decorated their own superhero masks.
Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Beasley shared apps and eBooks to make sure students have access to books all summer long. Mrs. Riggs also gave ideas on how to keep families motivated to read while having plenty of summer fun.
At the end of superhero training, students were given books to get their summer reading started. The event was super fun and super successful!
