Fifty hardworking “Power Panthers” took center court at Thursday night's basketball game. The students were rewarded for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom.
'Power Panthers' is a student recognition program sponsored by the Cabot Panther Foundation and Cabot Public School District.
The program honors students in third through sixth grades who have demonstrated the power and motivation to improve or excel in academics, behavior or citizenship.
Students who received this honor were nominated by a building administrator or staff member. Every Power Panther received tickets to attend the basketball game, a Power Panthers t-shirt, and coupons for the concession stand.
Prior to being recognized on the court, students gathered to hear from some district leaders. Mrs. Tucker welcomed the students and their parents and Joey York, Cabot Panther Foundation Board Member, Coach Jason Rogers, CHS Assistant Football Coach and senior athlete Riley Patterson, CHS Girls Soccer, spoke to the students about achieving goals.
Congratulations to all our Power Panthers!
