Cabot Officers Play Santa to Students

December 17, 2014

Dec. 17th

Some Cabot police officers received a very special assignment this week. They shopped until they dropped with dozens of deserving kids.

C.O.P.S or Cabot Officers Playing Santa was on Toy Patrol at Walmart, Tuesday. This event allows boys and girls to Christmas shop with an officer. Thirty-five elementary students from the Cabot School District had the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts.

Each child was given a specific amount they could spend. They had to buy one gift for someone else, one gift had to be something they needed, and the rest of the money could be spent on themselves or however they wanted.

This is the third year for this annual community event and allows Cabot police officers to make a positive impact on youth.
