Cabot Christmas Alliance and Christmas for Kids Helping Families in Need

December 3, 2014

Dec. 3rd, 2014

Cabot Christmas Alliance and Christmas for Kids are making sure Cabot students and their families have a very Merry Christmas.

The two non-profits are working on preparations to distribute food boxes and toys to families in need in the Cabot School District.

Last year, more than 900 families were helped during the Christmas season and it's anticipated the need will be even greater this year.

Here's how you can help:

  • By contributing financially (Cabot Christmas Alliance is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization)

  • By donating non-perishable food items

  • By donating new, unwrapped toys

  • By sponsoring a family

Deadlines:

  • Food Donations: December 13th (Boxes will be packed on the 13th)

  • Toy Donations: December 18th (Toys will be packed in the evenings the week of December 15th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)

  • Distribution Day: December 20th at the Cabot Armory Readiness Center

  • Monetary Donations: Accepted year-round (For toy donations make check to Christmas for Kids. For food donations make check out to Christmas Alliance)

Cabot Christmas Alliance and Christmas for Kids both rely solely on donations from churches, businesses, civic groups and individuals. Groups are currently collecting food, toys, coats and donations. Some of the drop-off locations are listed below.

Drop-off Locations:

  • At the Cabot School District you can drop off items with a school counselor. Toy drop off boxes should be located near the office at all schools as well.

  • Some of the churches collecting items include First United Methodist in Cabot, First Baptist in Cabot and Ward, Re:new Church in Cabot and Grace Community Church in Ward.

  • Drop-off locations are also at all General Dollar Stores, Fred's (in the Cabot School District area only) and at Centennial Bank in Cabot.
