Parent Night - Cabot Middle School North
April 24, 2012
Attention Parents of the Class of 2020:
At Cabot Middle School North, we pride ourselves on working towards a smooth transition for fourth graders coming into our building. We want the experience to be just as smooth for parents as well. We understand the transition from elementary to middle school can be stressful. The intent of our upcoming Parent Night is to ease the stress and ensure as smooth a transition as possible for students and parents.
CMSN will be hosting a Parent Night on April 26, 2012 from 6pm – 7:30pm. (Last Name A through J - 6:00 p.m. & Last Name K through Z - 6:30 p.m.)
Parents will be able to tour the building and go through the process of being a fifth grader. Parents will be assigned to a team and will rotate through classes the same way our students do. During this rotation process, teachers will have exciting hands-on activities for parents.
In addition to experiencing the rotation schedule of students, various stations will be set up throughout the building where parents can obtain information regarding Space Camp, DARE, Gifted/Talented, ENCORE, etc.
As parents complete each station, they will receive a stamp. At the end of their journey, those stamps will be turned in for milk and cookies. Parents will also complete a sheet on “A Day in the Life of a Fifth Grader” detailing their experience. This sheet will be very informative for us in ensuring the transition for students will go as smoothly as possible.
We look forward to seeing you on April 26th!!!!
