Be a Hallway Hero

Who can be a Hallway Hero?

  • Any adult, age 19 and older, who wishes to positively impact children's lives

What do Hallway Heroes do?

  • Volunteers who provide assistance at Cabot School District buildings

  • Possible activities include greeting students as they arrive, assisting with lunch and/or recess duty, monitoring hallways, entrances, parking lots, playgrounds, assisting office personnel and teachers with daily support tasks, eating lunch or playing on the playground with students, and more

What are the requirements to become a Hallway Hero?

  • Attend the orientation and training at 6 pm on September 15, 2014 at the Central Administrative Office (602 N. Lincoln)

  • For the safety of all children, Hallway Heroes must:

Pass all District required background checks
Follow district and building-level policies and procedures and demonstrate professional conduct at all times

What if I served as a Hallway Hero last year?

  • You do not need to attend the training; however, you will need to complete and pass all District required background checks each year

  • Contact the secretary at the building in which you volunteer to complete this process

How do I sign-up for the orientation and training?

  • Just show up at the Central Administrative Office on September 15th.
