Cabot Schools District End of Year Meeting

June 5, 2014

Faculty and staff gathered for the final meeting of the 2013-2014 school year on Thursday, June 5. 

Awards were presented by the Cabot Panther Foundation for the District Fitness Challenge. Teachers with Heart Awards, sponsored by the Cabot Teachers Association and Centennial Bank, were also presented.  The meeting also included recognition of years of service and retiring staff members.

The Cabot Panther Fitness Challenge was a 6 week weight loss challenge among staff and 176 participants began the contest! 997 pounds were lost among those who completed the contest and nine individuals placed and received a certificate and a monetary gift.

The Teachers with Heart Award was given to teachers who go above and beyond in and out of the classroom. Parents, colleagues, principals, students and members of the public nominated individuals for this award. Sixteen finalists were chosen after a selection process and three teachers received a plaque and $250 for being chose as a winner.
