CHS Junior Named Stock Market Game Winner!
May 5, 2020

A Cabot High School student is among the Region 5 winners in the Stock Market Game.
Congratulations to 11th grader Megan Smith for placing 2nd out of a total of 254 teams. Forty-four teams participated from Cabot High School.
The Entrepreneurship class at CHS incorporates the Stock Market Game Spring Semester each year.
The Stock Market Game™ is a national program of the SIFMA Foundation that allows students and teachers the opportunity to invest a virtual $100,000 in stocks, bonds and mutual funds throughout a 13-week span. Students learn how to research different elements of a company's financial statements to make financial decisions, how to work as a team, and how big risks don't always lead to big rewards.
Economics Arkansas has been the facilitator of this program in Arkansas since 1999. To date, Cabot High School had had a total of 1,930 teams under Economics Arkansas Program Coordinator Marsha Masters. Megan placed 30th out of all those teams!
Megan will recieve $75 and a banner for her second place win!
Congratulations to Megan Smith and to her advisor, CHS business teacher Stephanie Wade on an outstanding honor!
