National School Breakfast Week — March 2-6, 2020
March 4, 2020

National School Breakfast Week is March 2-6, 2020. This year the theme is “School Breakfast: Out of this World.”
When students are hungry, it is hard to concentrate on learning. Studies show children who eat breakfast perform better in the classroom.
-
Reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math
-
Score higher on standardized tests
-
Have better concentration and memory
-
Be more alert and maintain a healthy weight
Since the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, the district has served a total of 470,733 nutritious meals for breakfast!
You'll recall, Cabot Public Schools launched a new initiative offering all students, Pre-K-12th grade, free breakfast for the 2019-2020 school year. This allows our more than 10,000 students, to enjoy a nutritious breakfast each morning at no cost to parents. The Cabot School Board made it a priority to make sure the district was able to provide this opportunity for a free breakfast to all our students.
We are so glad to see many of our students taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity and we hope they continue to throughout the rest of the year. We firmly believe this is having a positive impact on our students and will help them flourish throughout the year.
