CHS Named Special Olympics National Unified Champion School
February 25, 2020

Cabot High School has officially been named a National Banner Special Olympics Unified Champion School!
CHS is receiving this honor as a result of meeting national standards of excellence in the areas of inclusion, advocacy, and respect. This includes efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with or without disabilities.
Recently, Terri Weir, CEO of Special Olympics Arkansas, and Jennifer Grantham, Director of Field Services, Initiatives, and Volunteers, traveled to Cabot High School for a special presentation at Panther Arena.
On February 18, during the halftime of the girls' basketball game, Ms. Weir presented the national banner to CHS teacher Ms. Shelley Moore, members of the CHS Unified Team which includes Special Olympians and their unified partners, as well as CHS Principal Henry Hawkins.
Cabot High School is now among a select number of schools in Arkansas and around the country to achieve this distinguished status.
Congratulations to Cabot High School! We are extremely proud of your hard work and commitment to inclusion.
Always love it when our district is recognized for going 'above and beyond' for students.....but this one is just incredible! #veryproudsuperintendent https://t.co/MozfSEDDhA
