Additional Security Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019

We understand that many of our parents, students, and staff are feeling anxious this week following an alleged statewide threat against Arkansas schools on Thursday, August 29th.  

Though the legitimacy of the threat is questionable, and is certainly NOT specific to our district, we have requested additional security from the Cabot Police Department and Lonoke County Sheriff's Department to be present Thursday in and around every school. This is in addition to our own team of certified law enforcement officers, school resource officers, and security guards.

While Thursday will be a regular school day for us, please know we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our students and staff. It is unfortunate that we have to deal with these types of situations in our society today. We hope by increasing law enforcement presence Thursday this will help provide peace of mind.
