School Safety

Dear Parents,

Though specifics are limited, we want to address information currently circulating on social media.

On August 20, the Little Rock FBI office issued a general awareness statement about information they received relating to a possible school shooting in Arkansas (Aug. 29) and Kentucky (Aug. 28). The FBI could not confirm the source of the reporting party.

Cabot Public Schools is not aware of any specific threat involving our school district.

We assure you that we take your child's safety seriously. District personnel will continue to communicate with the Cabot Police Department and the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office over the coming days. We will take all necessary steps to protect your child.
