CPS To Host National Mental Health/Suicide Prevention Expert - Public Invited - Aug. 12

August 1, 2019

Cabot Public Schools is pleased to announce the district is hosting a nationally recognized mental health and suicide prevention expert. We are excited to welcome Jeff Yalden to our community on Monday, August 12th.

Yalden is an award-winning, highly regarded, and sought after celebrity teen and family life coach. He works closely with school communities on suicide prevention training, raising awareness regarding mental health issues, and providing coping mechanisms for crisis situations.

Yalden will be working with our district Monday morning, August 12th, to further educate, train, and consult with our faculty members on these important issues. Yalden is also here to help educate and support our community about suicide prevention.

Community members will have the opportunity to hear and learn from Yalden himself at a free community-wide event that afternoon. It will be hosted by the district on Monday, August 12th, from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Cabot Veterans Park Event Center. We are encouraging parents and community members in Cabot and the surrounding areas to participate.

We are fortunate to have this opportunity. There are topics and situations in this world that are not pleasant to address, but are easier to handle with open discussion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Director of Counseling Terena Woodruff at 501-843-3363. To learn more about Jeff Yalden, click HERE.

Thank you for supporting our upcoming event! We hope to see you there.
