End of Year District Staff Meeting — CPS 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year Revealed!

Hundreds of teachers and staff were recognized Friday, May 24, for their service at the end of year district staff meeting
Cabot Public Schools Teacher of the Year
One of our district's outstanding teachers was honored with a special recognition. Lindsey Duncan was named the 2018-2019 Cabot Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Duncan was also named Elementary Teacher of the Year and Southside Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Duncan is now eligible to compete for Arkansas Teacher of the Year!
Also, congratulations to Kendra Colston (CMSS Teacher of the Year) for being named the Mid-Level Teacher of the Year and Linda Young (CFA Teacher of the Year) for being recognized as the High School Teacher of the Year.
These top three Cabot teachers received an award and $250 cash sponsored by Centennial Bank.
All our Teacher of the Year recipients were also honored at a luncheon where they received a congratulatory plaque sponsored by Centennial Bank and the Cabot Classroom Teacher Association. They also received a banner sponsored by the Cabot Panther Foundation at the end of the year district meeting.

Cardboard Boat Winners
Our cardboard boat winners were also announced at the meeting.
1st Place - Let's Get Nauti, 2nd Place - Dukes of Hazzard, 3rd Place - Miami Vice, and 4th Place - School Bus!

Also, thank you to Centennial Bank and Cabot Parks and Recreation for sponsoring the event, Mickey Spillane for being an awesome emcee and DJ, our amazing Food Services Department, and our district Wellness Coordinator Megan Curtis for organizing the event!
A special thank you our Cabot Middle School South students for a great performance of “I Will Survive.” Staff was also entertained with an Elvis Tribute by Haylie Poe and her Elvi (Dr. Thurman and Mr. Byrd)!
