CHS Students Compete at SkillsUSA 2019

The Cabot High School Career & Technical Programs recently participated in the Arkansas SkillsUSA Leadership Conference on April 8th and several students took home top awards!

Twenty-four students from Automotive Technology, Broadcasting, Construction Technology, Criminal Justice, and Health Sciences competed against other students from programs across the state.  

Congratulations to these students:

Automotive Service Technology – Motorcycle Service
Gold – Alex Henry
Alex also won a $7,000 scholarship! He also won Gold last year and another $7,000 in scholarship money for a total so far of $14,000.

Construction Technology – Residential Wiring
Gold - Clayton Flesher
Clayton also won a scholarship! His tuition will be waived for two years at several different college and technical schools.

Automotive Service Technology – Auto Parts Specialist
Silver – Robert Billington

Automotive Service Technology – Auto Parts Specialist
Bronze – Nevin Oxford

Broadcasting – Audio Production
Bronze - Priscilla Tapia and Noah Beard

Gold medalist Alex Henry and Clayton Flesher will be competing for the National Title at the SkillsUSA National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky this June.  

Medical students Madison Milliman and Ethan Rinehart were elected as state officers for Arkansas SkillsUSA.
