Connecting the Common Core and the Community for the Whole Child: A Community Conversation

The Arkansas Department of Education, in partnership with Arkansas ASCD and the Common Core State Standards Guiding Coalition, invite your participation in a statewide event designed to involve shareholders in discussion around Common Core.

This event, Connecting the Common Core and the Community for the Whole Child: A Community Conversation,will be held March 8 at regional sites throughout Arkansas.  The format will include a combination of statewide CIV presentation, regional discussion and a celebration of the importance of partnerships as we move forward with implementation of the new learning standards:

The following have agreed to host this event:

• All education cooperatives (except DeQueen/Mena)
• Bryant School District
• Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC)
• The Center for Leadership and Learning (AR Tech)
• Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) in NLR
• AETN in Conway
• Jonesboro School District
• Van Buren School District

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and will conclude by 7:00 p.m.
