Cabot Students Unite Against Bullying
November 1, 2017
Students in the Cabot School District participated in Unity Day, Wednesday, Oct. 25th. Unity Day encourages students and staff to Unite and Stand Up Against Bullying.
Bullying can happen in any place at any time. It is serious and can threaten a student's physical and emotional safety and negatively impact their ability to learn at school. The best way to stop bullying is to address it before it even starts.
Students in K-6 decorated paper chain links with positive messages and drawings. On Friday, October 27th, representatives from those schools met at Panther Arena to link the chains and show unity. Close to 5,500 chains lined the basketball court, each chain representing a student!
Students in K-4 were also given brag tags with the saying, “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully.” Fifth and 6th graders will be given tags that say, “Don't be Mean on the Screen.”
