Good Citizen, CMSS student Lexi Dunn
May 23, 2012
Lexi Dunn, a 5th grade student at Cabot Middle School South, received a ‘Good Citizen' award for quickly reporting what she believed was an unidentified person on campus.
When asked about the incident, Lexi said she reported the man “because I didn't recognize him, and I didn't know if he was supposed to be here or not.”
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman thanked Lexi for her attentiveness and quick response at her team's meeting. He encouraged students to continue to protect their school and to always report any suspicious activity.
Principal Georgia Chastain and School Board member Donna Nash also congratulated Lexi, and she was presented with a certificate and a commemorative school coin.
