Cabot to Host ASBOA State Concert Contest - April 10-12, 2023

Cabot High School Band is proud to host the 2023 Arkansas State Band Concert Contest, April 10-12, at the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium.

Close to 70 bands and orchestras from across the state will be in attendance. That is more than 3,300 music education students and their teachers showcasing their amazing talents for the best directors in the country.

Cabot High School has two groups performing. The Cabot Wind Symphony performs at 3:25 p.m. on Monday, April 10th and the Cabot Symphonic Band performs Tuesday, April 11th at 12:10 p.m.

The top group in each classification will be named the State Champion Ensemble and will be the Honor Ensemble next year at this event in their classification. Also, if a band receives a 1st Division in Marching Season at State Marching Contest and receives a 1st Division at the State Concert Contest, they will win the State Sweepstakes Award. Winning two top competitions is a huge accomplishment and honor for any program.

The nationally recognized adjudicators (judges) who will be evaluating the musical presentations include:

Ascension Parish, Louisiana

Groups will perform starting at 9:35 a.m. on Monday, April 10th and continue for three full days of music. Performances are free to the public.

The Cabot Fine Arts Auditorium is located at 401 N. Lincoln Street, Cabot, AR 72023. It is connected to Panther Arena and sits beside Panther Stadium across from the Central Administrative Office. A complete schedule and more information can be found at www.cabot.band.
