Cabot School Board Named ASBA Region 8 Outstanding School Board - Hertzog Named Outstanding Board Member

Congratulations to the Cabot School Board for being recognized with two outstanding awards by the Arkansas School Boards Association.

At the Tuesday, October 25th Region 8 meeting, the Cabot School Board was honored with the "Outstanding School Board" Award. This award recognizes achievement in education excellence and ethical service to students. Boards accomplish this through a shared vision, team effort and unified commitment to ensure the best possible climate and education opportunities in their communities.

A big congratulations also to Dr. James Hertzog for being named "Outstanding Board Member" for Region 8. Dr. Hertzog is the owner and optometric physician of Hertzog Family Eye Care in Cabot and Jacksonville and is a graduate of Cabot High School, Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.
