Reading Hot Spots During the Summer for all Students
May 18, 2012
This summer the district is hosting a summer library program promoting reading and having fun called “Hot Spots”.
It will take place at every elementary school from 5:00 to 6:00 pm on June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th and July 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. “It is a great way for families to spend time together,” said Kelly Riggs, coordinator of the program. “It also keeps students reading and connected to school in the summer.
This is time for the entire family to enjoy books. All students must be accompanied by an adult. The kids and families that attend have story time, sing songs together, and recite and create poems.
