District Dealing with School Grounds Vandalism

May 10, 2022

The district has always welcomed patrons to visit and utilize our facilities after school, on weekends, and when school is not in session.

Unfortunately, we are now dealing with an increase in vandalism and destruction to our school grounds, especially our playgrounds and equipment.

Some of the issues the district has been facing at our schools include signage and marquee damage, picnic tables being moved or flipped over, and tampering with outside breakers causing the air to go out in several classrooms. We have also received reports of individuals climbing and walking on top of school awnings which is extremely dangerous.

With summer break quickly approaching we need your help. If you witness vandalism or mischief on any of our school properties, please report it immediately to the Cabot Police Department at (501-843-6526).

We want to be able to keep our facilities open to guests after hours and appreciate the public’s cooperation, understanding, and support.
