AR Boys and Girls State Delegates 2022

April 20, 2022

The Cabot School District is proud to recognize the 10 Cabot High School/ACE students who have been accepted into the Arkansas Boys and Girls State program.

Arkansas Boys and Girls State is an immersive program in civics education designed for high school juniors. Students are chosen based on leadership, character and honesty, academic achievement, scholarship, cooperativeness and community participation and service by a committee of teachers and American Legion and Legion Auxiliary representatives. It is an honor to be chosen to attend this program, and the skills they learn will last a lifetime.

At Arkansas Boys and Girls State, delegates become knowledgeable in the democratic process and how our government works at the state and national levels. Each summer, a diverse group of students from around the state participate in this week-long program. They assume roles as government leaders, campaign for their party affiliation, and some will become elected officials at the city and state level. Delegates are given practical instruction on the duties and responsibilities of both citizens and their elected officials.

We would like to thank the following businesses for supporting our delegates: American Legion Post 71, American Legion Auxiliary, Dairy Queen, Young's Tires, Jennifer Smart with iRealty, Travis Lawn Care, Chef Candace, GSR Lawn and Landscape, Timbo Productions DJ Services, Cabot DIscount Grocery, Xertion Fitness, VSC Fire and Security Inc., Evans Nursery, Design and Manufacturing Holding Co., Mickey Spillane Enterprises, and Victoria Robertson with ReMax Realty

AR Boys State and Girls State will be held May 29 - June 3, 2022.
