CHS Marching Band Finishes Competition Season as Champions

The Cabot High School Marching band has ended its season as champions. They participated in four competitions in October.
The first one was the Paragould Invitational Marching Contest where the CHS Band won 1st Division in every Caption, 1st Place Guard in Class, 2nd Place Visual in Division, 3rd Place Music in Division and Reserved Grand Champion (2nd Place for the day).
Next, they competed in the Region Marching Assessment where they won the highest award a band can receive at that event, 1st Division Superior.
On October 24th, the CHS Marching Band won the title “Grand Champions” at the Power Band Classic at Hot Springs walking away with the top score of the day.
They also won best percussion and color guard for AAAAA. In the preliminaries, the CHS Marching Band received The Music Award and General Effect along with 1st Place in their division. For finals, out of 11 groups, they received the Outstanding Visual of the Day, Outstanding General Effect along with the Top Band of the Day, Grand Champions.
In their final competition of the season, Championship at the Rock, which was held at War Memorial Stadium, the CHS Marching Band placed 2nd overall out of 13 bands.
