Stand Up Against Bullying: Be the Change
August 20, 2015
Bullying:
Bullying can happen in any place at any time. It can happen face to face, online or even through a cellphone.
Bullying is serious. It can threaten a student's physical and emotional safety and negatively impact their ability to learn at school. The best way to stop bullying is to address it before it even starts.
The Cabot School District is dedicated to protecting our students. We want our kids to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. This is why we're launching a new anti-bullying campaign with the help of a new tip line and a former NFL football star.
We hope to encourage everyone, students, staff, parents and community members to “Stand Up Against Bullying and Be the Change.”
Panther Tip Line:
We now have a new Panther Tip Line on our Cabot Public Schools App. Patrons can select from a number of categories including bullying, drugs, fighting, personal crisis, safety risk, threat, truancy, vandalism and weapons.
*Before submitting your tip, remember to select a specific school. Once the tip is submitted, certain administrators will be notified and an investigation will begin.
Website:
We've also added the Panther Tip Line to our website.
You can find it by clicking HERE.

Keith Davis:
The Cabot School District has also enlisted the help of a former NFL football star to help spread the message of our anti-bullying campaign.
Keith Davis, a former New York Giants football player has appeared on ESPN, ABC, USA Today, and Sports Illustrated. He is also an entrepreneur, educator and speaker. Davis has spoken in over 5,000 schools, universities and corporations.
Davis comes to Cabot:
-
Wednesday, September 2nd
-
Thursday, September 3rd
For two days, Davis will be on campus speaking to more than 2,400 Cabot School District students. Davis, along with one of his NFL colleagues, will be the featured speakers at five school assemblies for Cabot Middle School North, Cabot Middle School South, Cabot Junior High North, Cabot Junior High South and the Cabot Freshman Academy.
We hope Davis' anti-bullying message inspires our students to “Stand Up Against Bullying: Be the Change!”
*Remember if you ever feel like you're the victim of bullying, or your child may be the victim of bullying, contact your school administrator immediately.
