CPS Teacher of the Year Honored by Governor – Named Top 4 State Semi-Finalist!

Congratulations to our very own Cabot Public Schools “Teacher of the Year,” Melani Blansett, for being named a Top 4 State Semi-Finalist for the 2025 Arkansas Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Blansett is the Director at Cabot High School Theatre. She has also been recognized as the CHS Teacher of the Year and Overall Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Blansett was invited to the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion for the 2025 Arkansas Teacher of the Year Regional Finalists Reception where she was honored by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and ADE Secretary Jacob Oliva for being named a Top 14 Regional Finalist. In a surprise announcement, it was revealed Mrs. Blansett had advanced to the Top 4 State Semi-Finalists.
The Arkansas Teacher of the Year selection committee will conduct site visits for each of the four state semi-finalists, with the 2025 ATOY named this fall. The ATOY will be eligible to become the 2025 National Teacher of the Year.
