CPS Names Troy Campbell Head Boys Basketball Coach

Cabot School District Welcomes Troy Campbell as New Head Boys Basketball Coach

Media Release:

Cabot, AR - April 25, 2024 -  The Cabot School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Troy Campbell as the new Cabot Panthers Head Boys Basketball Coach.

Campbell comes to Cabot from the Vilonia School District where he served as the Head High School Boys Basketball Coach for the past three years. Prior to that, Campbell served as the Assistant High School Basketball Coach at Little Rock Central as well as Jonesboro High School where he helped win four State Championships and coached in 8 of 10 State Championship games. Campbell is also a former Arkansas State Men's Basketball Graduate Assistant.

Campbell brings with him a proven track record of success. With thirteen years of coaching experience, he has achieved numerous accolades during his career. Among his notable achievements, Campbell was honored as the 2024 Coach of the Year for the 5A Central Conference and selected as a member of the Arkansas High School Coaches Association (AHSCA) All-Star Basketball Staff in 2024. Under his leadership, his team at Vilonia secured the 5A Central Conference Championship in 2024, marking a historic milestone for the school.

Campbell received his Master of Science in Education Leadership at Arkansas State University in 2015. Committed to family and community, Campbell is married to Mary Campbell. They have two young children, Marlee and Tyson, who are excited to become Cabot Panthers!

Campbell begins his tenure with the Cabot School District on Monday, April 29, 2024. Join us in extending a warm welcome to Coach Campbell as he embarks on this new chapter with the Cabot Panthers!
