Cabot High School Band Travels In Style Thanks To MAGS Trucking
June 24, 2015
A major gift for the Cabot High School Band rolled into town Tuesday. MAGS Trucking of Cabot donated an amazing wrap for the band's semi-tractor trailer. The trailer is used to transport equipment to band competitions.
MAGS Trucking is a family business. Gary Smith, along with his wife Mary Ann, son Dewayne and daughter Sherry say they are happy to be able to support the Cabot School District and the high school band. In fact, Cabot High School Band Director Joe Trusty was Dewayne Smith's band director when he was in school.
The Smith children are also very involved in band. Dewayne Smith's oldest daughter is a sophomore in the high school band. His youngest daughter is in the 7th grade band. Sherry Smith's son plays in the high school band and her two daughters play in the 7th and 9th grade bands. Dewayne Smith's wife is also a Cabot teacher and his mom, Mary Ann, also used to be a teacher in the district as well.
The Smith family worked hard with Mr. Trusty on the incredible design. Along with donating the custom wrap, for the past several years, MAGS trucking has donated their time and rig to haul the trailer to competitions.
Once again, on behalf of the Cabot School District, we'd like to thank the Smith family, especially Gary, Mary Ann, Dewayne and Sherry Smith and MAGS Trucking of Cabot for your support and generosity. Your donation means the world to our district and to our kids.
