CMSN Teacher Surprised as “KATV Teacher of the Year Finalist

December 12, 2016

A  Cabot Middle School North teacher received some big news recently.

KATV's Beth Hunt and a camera crew surprised Mrs. Frankie Glover in her classroom on Tuesday, December 6th.  Mrs. Glover learned her former student, Eliza Derryberry, now a 7th grade student at Cabot Junior High North, had nominated her as a “Teacher of the Year” finalist and Mrs. Glover won!

Eliza also attended the surprise reveal and read her nomination letter to Mrs. Glover. “Teacher of the Year” nominees are chosen for having a positive impact on students.

There will be nine finalists from September 2016 to May 2017.  The overall “Teacher of the Year” will be named next May.

Mrs. Glover's story will air on December 26th at 10:00 p.m. on KATV.
